There is something about summer and lemonade.

Hot weather takes me back to the times of stirring a big
pitcher of cool lemonade, dragging out a little table and
running around the house looking for sign supplies.
Everyone would stop. Even Murray, the "milk man".

Now I smile as I watch our three young ones do the same.

Being on a slower-trafficked street, they have taken to
knocking on all the neighbors doors to make sure they don't
miss the opportunity.

And who can resist a little girl looking up, telling you
"the lemon stand is out!".

Here's a way to wake up to a little taste of these fun
times. I thought a breakfast idea with lemonade was quite
unique.

Breakfast Lemonade
Makes 1 pitcher

1 can lemonade concentrate, thawed (12oz.)
1 ½ cups mango nectar, chilled (you can also use watermelon

or other melon juice)
3 cups cold water
2 - 2 ½ cups finely chopped fruit (mango, watermelon,
strawberries or blueberries, etc.)

Stir the lemonade, mango nectar and cold water together.
Add the fruit and some ice and enjoy!

Mango is commonly referred to as the world's favorite
fruit. Although not grown widely in the US, Mangoes are a
fruit staple in many countries.

Did you know though that the world record holding Mango was
grown on US soil?

Reported by the Honolulu Star- Bulletin in 2006, a Mrs.
Porter is shown holding her amazing 5 lb, 7 oz "Keitt"
mango. It is almost the size of a human head!

That's sweet!
